Congratulations to Chef Juan Carlos Recamier, Winner of the Port of San Diego’s Green Chef of the Bay cooking competition! Juan Carlos Recamier is the owner and chef of Ceviche House and competed in the Green Chef of the Bay cooking competition on behalf of Ocean Discovery Institute. Chef Juan Carlos was victorious and brought home an awesome donation benefitting Ocean Discovery Institute. Ocean Discovery Institute was among three local non-profit organizations being represented by local top chefs. Using fresh local products from Tuna Harbor Dockside Market, Chef Juan Carlos created two beautiful dishes that wowed judges and onlookers alike!
The cooking competition was a part of the Port of San Diego’s Taste of the Port event on September 21 where guests experienced tastings from top waterfront restaurants and sustainable cooking including locally sourced ingredients and fresh fish were showcased.
