Teacher Fellow Position

Ocean Discovery Institute empowers young people from underserved communities in City Heights through hands-on ocean science, mentorship, and long-term support that helps students believe, achieve, and lead in STEM fields.

We are currently seeking passionate Teacher Fellows to mentor and teach K–12 students through engaging science experiences in the classroom, field, and Living Lab. This full-time opportunity is ideal for aspiring educators who believe all students deserve access to high-quality science education and want to help students build confidence, belonging, and leadership through science.

Teacher Fellows gain over 1,000 hours of teaching experience, professional development, mentorship, and opportunities to grow their careers in education and youth development, all while making a meaningful impact in the community.

Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, professional coaching, and competitive pay ranging from $20–$25/hour.

Position Dates: August 17, 2026 – May 21, 2027
