Section 1: Your Required Prep Work

1. By June 15th: Fill out & return the following via email (jbarkan@oceandi.org) or text (207-232-0452) to Joel Barkan.

Must be completed by all volunteers this year:

  • Fit To Travel Release Form (requires appointment with a medical provider)
  • ODI Foreign Program Liability Form
  • Verify that your Passport does not expire before the day you return from Baja.

Must be completed if this if your first time participating or if your current status is out-of-date (Joel & Nalleli will cue you):

  • Volunteer Application
  • LiveScan Fingerprint Check
  • Proof of COVID Vaccine (email Joel a photo or copy)
  • TB Risk Assessment (requires appointment with a medical provider)

2. No earlier than July 10th: Obtain your Mexican Travel Visa prior to your departure. This cannot be obtained MORE than 30 days before you depart. Email your visa (jbarkan@oceandi.org) or text (207-232-0452) to Joel Barkan.

3. 24 hours prior to your departure: submit proof of negative Covid-19 antigen test to Joel. Or, submit proof of negative PCR test administered 72 hours prior to your departure.
